It’s dark, it’s cold and it seems like a long, long time till spring. Many of us suffer a few pangs and twinges as the leaves fall and the nights lengthen. Most of us are able to grin and bear it. A few are less fortunate. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is now a well-documented condition, characterised mainly by onset of depressed mood and allied symptoms in the winter months. Absence of sunshine, with changes in brain chemicals (including melatonin and serotonin) is thought to be an underlying factor.

The Internet social networking service known as Twitter was created in 2006 by Jack Dorsey of Oakland, California. Twitter is best described as a microblogging site. Its users send simple text messages, known as tweets, through the Twitter network to their followers, who are people subscribing to their messages. Those people can then create additional content by commenting on the original tweet or “re-tweeting” it, which is sending it on to their own followers.

14 July 2010 - New Property Tax Affects NSW Market
From July 1, the NSW Government will receive an additional tax on the sale of any property over $500,000. Since the average property in Sydney sells for $600,000 these days, many people will have to pay this tax, on top of the other stamp duty and taxes already levied on a property sale.
